Fireshine Games and Undercoders have confirmed a release date for Denshattack! on Nintendo Switch 2, with a free demo out now on the Nintendo eShop.
“Set in a dystopian future where the ultra-rich have sequestered themselves into impenetrable air-purifying domes, those left in the wasteland have rebuilt the world under gang rule,” the publisher outlines in a press release.
“As Emi, you will face rival gangs, collect upgrades and climb the ranks to become the best in Japan. Denshattack! combines the rebellious spirit of skateboarding with the rich culture of Japan into a runaway thrill ride you won’t want to put down.”
You will be challenged to become the greatest train driver in Japan by competing in over-the-top train battles. That will see you push the limits of what a train can do across more than 50 stages in which you face off against a colourful cast of rivals.
That’s all set to a soundtrack with “absolutely banger tracks” from main composer Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge) and contributors Ryo Nagamatsu (Splatoon series, Mario Kart Series), Richard Jacques (Jet Set Radio series, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy), Takenobu Mitsuyoshi (Daytona USA, Sega Rally Championship) and more.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Pull Off Stylish Tricks: Ollie, kickflip, and grind your way through Japan’s biggest cities, as well as a world of meadows, volcanoes and oceans. Rack up points and chase that sweet high score as you flip, trick and stick the landing in your customisable ride.
- Build Your Reputation: Face off against a lineup of reimagined Japanese trains, gain the respect of an underground network of gangs and rebels, and turn rivals to allies as you master your skills. Journey from naive beginner to seasoned pro as you strive to race the fastest train in existence and become a legendary Denshattacker!
- Battle Bizarre Bosses: From mecha magical girls to moving castles, and mechanical worms to a Denshattacker army — face a flurry of madcap bosses that get wilder and wilder the further you get. Use what you’ve learned to stop them in their tracks.
- Discover A Transformed Japan: Travel from the countryside of Kyushu through the metropolises of Osaka, Tokyo and more, now sealed under domes by Miraidō. Venture across Japan to the snowfields of Hokkaido… and beyond! Each new region holds fresh challenges to beat and rules to break.
Denshattack! will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 17 June 2026.
