Devolver Digital has confirmed a release date for Skate Story, which is coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
From solo developer Sam Eng, this is promised to be “a skateboarding game like no other” and will challenge you to ollie, kickflip and grind your way through the Underworld as you take on a seemingly impossible quest.
You will need to skate fast to destroy demons and save other tortured souls on a journey that will take you from a fragile beginner to a hardened skater.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Stylish Street Skating Adventure: Skate through nine layers of the Underworld. Journey through streets and surreal landscapes full of waxed ledges, unholy gaps, and tortured demons.
- Succumb to the Beauty of the Board: Sell your soul for decks, wheels, and trucks to keep your skating fresh. Over 70+ skate tricks to progress and improve. Complete skate trials to level up and get new gear.
- Hypnotic Beats for Demonic Streets: Cruise through the Underworld to a psychedelic soundtrack by enigmatic New York artist Blood Cultures, with additional tracks by John Fio.
Skate Story will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 8 December 2025.
