Nintendo has released Jump Rope Challenge as a free downloadable game on Nintendo Switch, and, in just three days, players around the world have jumped more than 200 million times.
Created by a small group of Nintendo developers while they work from home in Japan, it encourages you to participate in a virtual skipping exercise “to add some quick and fun movement” into your daily life.
With a Joy-Con controller in each hand, you imagine that you are holding the handles of a skipping rope and are challenged to perform at least 100 jumps each day.
Two players can even play together, holding one Joy-Con each and teaming up to swing the rope to reach the high score.
Jump Rope Challenge is available as a limited-time free download on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide until the end of September 2020.
