Maximum Games have today announced that they will reveal Jett Tailfin at E3 next week.
The Wii U and Nintendo 3DS titles, currently in development at Hoplite Research and Ilusis Interactive Graphics, tells the story of a loveable fish who, with the aid of his friends, competes to win a quirky underwater competition.
Characters include Phil A. Salmon, Hal Hammerhead, Tim Lapia and John Sturgeon, who will each race around landscapes such as Atlantis Metropolis, Hawaiian Islands, Ship Graveyard and Pirate’s Island, finding shortcuts that will allow them to find the quickest route to the finish line. You’ll also be challenged to unlock bonus character Tom Tsunami, who is Jett Tailfin’s idol and the fastest fish in the entire world…!
Characters and effects feature motion-blur shaders and other advanced underwater lighting effects.
The “first-of-its-kind” racing game will grant players full range of control, and will also incorporate mini-games such as Clam Ball, Sharks and Minnows, and Fishnet Tag.

Jett Tailfin will release this year for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
