Ubisoft have announced Jade Raymond’s departure to pursue new opportunities, ending the 10 year spell that she has spent with the company.

In such time, Raymond was producer on Assassin’s Creed and executive producer across Assassin’s Creed II, Watch_Dogs and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, also opening the Ubisoft Toronto studio where she has been managing director since 2009.

Such role will be passed to Alexandre Parizeau, a founding team member of the Ubisoft Toronto studio, who himself has worked as senior producer on Splinter Cell Blacklist and producer for Splinter Cell Conviction and Rainbow Six Vegas. He will report to Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto CEO Yannis Mallat, and will oversee development of the company’s biggest brands and a number of unannounced projects.

“I’ve spent 10 extraordinary years at Ubisoft, and I am proud to have been part of many of the best teams in the industry making truly remarkable games,” Raymond shared in discussing the decision. “This is one of the hardest decisions of my career, but the Toronto studio is strong and on a solid path. I’m confident that now is a good time for me to transition leadership of the studio to Alex and to pursue my other ambitions and new opportunities. Stay tuned for more on what’s next for me, but for now, I’d like to thank Ubisoft for its partnership through the years, and I wish them the very best in all their next endeavours.”
