Nintendo are aware that the Wii U isn’t looking like a particularly viable system for third-party publishers due to its small install base, and are working hard to rectify the situation with a strong first-party slate.

Despite this, Satoru Iwata has commented that there is still unannounced third-party software in the pipeline for the console, although stated it wasn’t Nintendo’s place to share details.

“It is not my position to mention which titles each third-party developer will release in the future,” Iwata explained during Nintendo’s E3 2013 analyst briefing. “However, more unannounced titles will come.”

He continued, “We hope to revitalise the platform with our strong first-party lineup, and then an enriched third-party software lineup will follow.”
