SEGA of America has promoted Ivo Gerscovich as senior vice president, who now will also oversee Sonic the Hedgehog as chief brand officer.
His career spans roles at 20th Century Fox Interactive, Vivendi Universal Games and Paramount Pictures Digital Entertainment, before joining SEGA of America as chief brand officer in June 2015.
Since 1st March 2016, Gerscovich was “selected to lead all aspects of SEGA’s global flagship brand and business unit with full profit and loss responsibility.” His rather broad position now covers games development, television, consumer product licensing, theme park licensing, creative services, marketing, PR, promotions, digital, events, and research.
2016 celebrates 25 years since Sonic the Hedgehog first launched, and will see SEGA host a Sonic 25th Anniversary Party in Los Angeles and release Nintendo 3DS exclusive Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice.
