Neos Corporation has announced that Culdcept Begins is in development for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, news that was shared in this week’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase presentation.
Led by dice. Ruled by cards. In this strategy game, you must move across the board with dice, claim territories and battle it out with cards.
“Bavrashka, a continent created by the gods. At its centre lies the Royal Cept Academy, an institute where Cepters are trained to wield the power of stone tablets known as ‘Culds,’ fragments of the Culdcept,” the game’s story description reads.
“Kamur, who transferred to the Cept Academy, has his abilities recognised and is selected for the Royal Cepter Guard Regiment. Amid battles that threaten the continent, the power of a Cepter begins to awaken.”
The developer pitches this as “a more accessible evolution of Culdcept that stays true to the series’ charm.” There are more than 400 Creature, Item and Spell cards with all-new visuals that can be combined to win through the power of your own tactics.
Culdcept Begins will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch worldwide on 16 July 2026.
