Curve Digital and Fallen Tree Games have announced that American Fugitive will release on Nintendo Switch this month.

This action-packed open-world sandbox game is set in 1980s middle-America in a sleepy rural town, where, as Will Riley, you face life in prison for a crime that you did not commit.

Fueled by grief about his father’s cold-blooded murder and a burning desire for vengeance, you must break out of jail to find the real culprit.

You will work with others on perilous jobs for the criminal underworld in looking for a chance to set things right. But, their motives and whether they can be trusted to help uncover the truth will be as questionable as their integrity.

There’s the chance to live the life of a felon, robbing houses, stealing cars, and arming yourself to the teeth. And when the top-down carnage isn’t entertaining you with destructible environments, dramatic storytelling, and epic car-chases, you can take part in time trial challenges and stunt jumps that are dotted throughout the world.

American Fugitive will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 23rd priced at £17.99 (€ 19.99/$19.99).
