Blowfish Studios and Caustic Reality have confirmed a release date for Infliction: Extended Cut on Nintendo Switch.

The Extended Cut adds additional endings and a New Game Plus mode that has “bonus story content, increased difficulty, remixed scares, chilling new puzzles, and other surprises.”

In this psychological horror game, you will walk through an interactive nightmare that is set in a once-happy household.

It’s up to you to piece together the mystery behind a harrowing series of events while struggling to survive against encounters with an entity that stands in the way of you discovering absolution.

The home has been crystallized by tragedy, leaving you to uncover heartbreaking secrets hidden in messages, artwork, household objects, and other items.

These will unlock new paths that will lead you to make new discoveries, although you must avoid the malevolent presence that inhabits the residence – hiding beneath tables or beds and using light sources like camera flashes to stun the spirit.

“Infliction is a psychological horror experience rooted in fears that can resonate with anyone,” explains Caustic Reality founder and Blowfish Studios mission designer Clinton McCleary.

“We look forward to scaring everyone and sharing all the new content very soon when the ‘Extended Cut’ releases on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in February.”

Infliction: Extended Cut will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on February 25th, priced at £15.99 ($19.99).
