Nicalis and Studio Saizensen have announced when Blade Strangers will release on Nintendo Switch, their all-new indie crossover brawler.

With the fighting game, the developer has looked to combine “the excitement and subtle dynamics of a classic one-on-one fighting game with the polish and high-quality visuals expected from a current-gen contender.”

The traditional and streamlined four-button control scheme will offer accessible inputs for beginner players, while still opening up the chance for more advanced players with room to discover new tactics.

From launch, you will be able to compete in online and offline gameplay modes such as Story Mode, Arcade Mode,
Challenge Mode, Survival Mode, Versus Mode, Online Modes, Tutorial and Training, while other features include online leaderboards, screen view and control customisation, player profiles, stat tracking and unlockable items (character colours, portraits, special titles).

Blade Strangers will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide on August 28th, priced at $39.99.
