A quick heads up for Club Nintendo members across Europe, Nintendo of Europe have today released a new set of Terms and Conditions as well as a new Privacy Policy for the service.

Addressing the recent release of the Nintendo 3DS and continual use of the Nintendo website, the alterations mainly concern your permission for the company to Nintendo to anonymously collect information about information about your online activities on the website and with Nintendo products.

There’s nothing to worry about really, but this must be done by May 31st 2011 – if you don’t then your Club Nintendo account will be deemed inactive and deleted. You’ll be prompted as soon as you log in to your account, and it only takes a matter of minutes.

For those interested, the full message from Nintendo of Europe is as follows:

If you are a member of Club Nintendo, you’ll need to follow a simple process to keep your membership active due to some changes here at the official Nintendo of Europe website.

Club Nintendo and the Nintendo website are now governed by a new set of Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, which you will need to accept before May 31st 2011 if you want to continue enjoying your Club Nintendo membership and its related benefits. If you are a Club Nintendo member aged under 16, you’ll have to have the new Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy accepted on your behalf by an adult.

If you haven’t accepted the new Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy by May 31st, your Club Nintendo account will be deleted, resulting in the loss of any Stars you have accrued during your membership.

You will be prompted to accept the new Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy when you log into your Club Nintendo account. Club Nintendo members aged under 16 will be prompted to seek parental approval for the verification process upon logging in. A summary of the most important changes will be shown before you accept the new Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
