Nintendo had announced their plans to release Inkling, Daisy and Ridley amiibo in the Super Smash Bros. Collection at E3 2018, but that still left a question mark over whether other returning veteran fighters would receive their own amiibo figure.

News on that was actually shared at the same time, in that Nintendo‘s official Japanese website has confirmed that Ice Climbers and Pichu amiibo will be produced, as well as others for the remaining returning fighters. That means that you can also look forward to Young Link, Snake, Pokémon Trainer and Wolf amiibo.

If I was to speculate beyond that, I would also expect that Nintendo will probably consider releasing new amiibo for fighters that have received redesigns, such as Link, Zelda and Ganondorf who are now based on how they appear in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, respectively.
