Nintendo has broken down the Hyrule Warriors Legends Season Pass, which will be backed with new characters, weapons, Adventure Mode maps and more.
These will be themed around The Wind Waker HD, Link’s Awakening, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and A Link Between Worlds, and promise four unannounced new characters to play as.
It is explained that the Legends of Hyrule Pack Season Pass will be available in three ways. The Nintendo 3DS Only Season Pass and Nintendo 3DS + Wii U Season Pass can be purchased from 24th March 2016, while the Wii U Only Season Pass will come later in summer 2016.
The Season Pass covers access to four DLC Packs for Hyrule Warriors Legends that will release throughout the year, but, for those that would rather choose to buy those that directly interest them, they can be purchased separately.
The schedule and content within the DLC Packs has been outlined as below:
Late spring 2016: Master Wind Waker Pack (DLC Pack 1)
Nintendo 3DS Only: £1.79 / €1.99 / $TBC
- 16 new My Fairy costume pieces
- The “Master” Wind Waker map for Adventure Mode with one new adventure battle scenario
Summer 2016: Link’s Awakening Pack (DLC Pack 2)

Wii U Only: £4.49 / €4.99 / $4.99
Nintendo 3DS + Wii U: £8.09 / €8.99 / $9.99

Beyond this, Nintendo will release The Legends Character Pack (£10.79 / €11.99 / $12.99) for Hyrule Warriors on Wii U in summer 2016. This will include Linkle, Skull Kid, Tetra, Toon Link, King Daphnes and Ganondorf’s trident weapon, and it isn’t part of the Legends of Hyrule Pack Season Pass. They clarify that Tetra, King Daphnes, Skull Kid and Ganondorf’s new trident weapon will not be available to purchase outside of this pack.
Hyrule Warriors Legends will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in Europe and North America on March 25th.
