Hyper Training Will Let You Strengthen Pokémon Beyond Level 100

The Pokémon Company has revealed a new Hyper Training function in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, that will let you strengthen Pokémon beyond Level 100.

Before now, Pokémon grew in strength as players raised their level to increase their base stats.
This power was still affected by a Pokémon’s individual strengths, and now Hyper Training will allow these to continue to be increased even after a Pokémon has reached Level 100.

This wasn’t possible in previous games, with players soon able to visit Mr. Hyper in the Alola region. A new Bottle Caps item can be collected in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, which may be used by players to carry out Hyper Training on their Pokémon.

When the Magearna event takes place later in the year, the Mythical Pokémon will be distributed with a Bottle Cap held item.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in North America, Australia and New Zealand on November 18th, and in Europe on November 23rd.
