Thanks to a free content update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, after updating your game, you can use select amiibo to invite The Legend of Zelda or Splatoon-inspired characters to visit your island.
There are four characters that can visit – Tulin, Mineru, Viché and Cece – and below you can read through a list of compatible amiibo that you will need to welcome them to your game.
How to use amiibo in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- To use amiibo, you will first need to progress through the game until you unlock the Campsite.
- Interact with the Nook Stop multimedia terminal in Resident Services and select the “Invite amiibo Camper” option. Select “Yes, I do!” to confirm.
- Hold your amiibo figure to the NFC touchpoint on your right Joy-Con or Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
- Once the game has detected your amiibo, it will ask whether you want to invite the relevant character to your Campsite.
- Head over to the Campsite to meet them!
