How To Unlock The Superball Flower In Super Mario Maker 2

The Superball Flower is in Super Mario Maker 2, marking the first time that the power-up has been used since Super Mario Land on Game Boy.

Once collected, it turns Mario into the gray-colored Superball Mario and, in a similar way to the Fire Flower, lets the player shoot Superballs.

However, unlike the fireballs that the mustachioed plumber can hurl at his enemies, these Superballs will bounce off surfaces and can be used to collect Coins that they come into contact with.

To use the Superball Flower in the courses that you create, you will first need to unlock the power-up. To do so, you will need to work your way through rebuilding Princess Peach’s Castle in Story Mode – the Superball Flower unlocked after you clear the Spiny Shell Smashers job from Purple Toad.

Super Mario Maker 2 is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
