For partygoers excited to play Super Mario Party, Nintendo’s party planners have made four boards for you to risk destroying your friendships on.
Three of those – Whomp’s Domino Ruins, King Bob-omb’s Powderkeg Mine and Megafruit Paradise – are available right from the start, but that may leave you wondering how to unlock the fourth board, Kamek’s Tantalizing Tower.
The Kamek’s Tantalizing Tower board is a swanky gold-plated cityscape that Kamek has created, that you can compete on in Mario Party and Partner Party modes (where it is called Tantalizing Tower Toys).
It’s easy but time-consuming to unlock, in that you will need to complete a game on the other three boards first – the shortest option being a 10 turn game that will last around 60 minutes for most. That will take three hours, then. However, you will need to do this twice – once in Mario Party mode, and a second time in Partner Party mode.
This fourth board’s gimmick is that a golden Kamek statue will determine how many coins you will need to get a Star, which will change over time as the game progresses. There’s also a Thwomp that will block your path and will require more coins for each player that safely passes underneath it.
Super Mario Party is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
