If you have ever regretted attaching something to your weapon or shield in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom then you are in luck, as we’re here to explain how you can unfuse them.

You will need to speak to Pelison at the Break-a-Part Shop in Tarrey Town (Coordinates 3995, 1634, 0128), where, “faster’n you can blink,” he can return your fused items back to their original state.

This process will cost you 20 rupees each time, which Pelison learned after figuring out how to break things apart by disassembling stuff he didn’t need any more in his workshop. The only person in Hyrule who is capable of performing such a feat, he can disassemble any weapon or shield that you are carrying that has an attachment on it.

It is useful to visit his Break-a-Part Shop as even simply looking at what you can disassemble in your inventory will reveal what separate items were used to make them. I’d randomly picked up a Fire-Breath Lizal Blade that had been useful to melt ice, but had no idea what I needed to create another.

Pelison’s unique ability showed me that it was made from a Sturdy Thick Stick and a Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horn, without the need to break the one I already held in my inventory apart.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
