You may be wondering how to start The Isle of Armor DLC, now the first Expansion Pass content for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield has landed.
Once you have downloaded and installed software update version 1.2.0, it won’t take long for those that have bought the relevant Expansion Pass to start their adventure on the Isle of Armor.
To journey to the Isle of Armor, you will need to have reached the Wild Area for the first time in whichever game you are playing. Given that Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have now been out for seven months, this isn’t something that the majority of players will need to worry about.
If you have purchased the Expansion Pass, when you load up your game you should be notified that you now have an Armor Pass. Whenever you show this to the rail staff at Wedgehurst Station, you will be able to freely travel to the Isle of Armor whenever you wish – which takes a short train ride and a Corviknight-flown Flying Taxi to reach.
Once you arrive on the Isle of Armor, a Pokémon researcher will upgrade your Pokédex – adding the Isle of Armor Pokédex – before your chance encounter with Klara soon sees you start training at the Master Dojo.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
