The Pokémon Company International and Game Freak have revealed that you can receive Shaymin as a special in-game bonus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
If you have save data for Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, you will be able to take on a research quest in which you will be given the chance to add the Mythical Pokémon to your team.
The request that will let you meet Shaymin (Lande Forme) will become available to accept in Jubilife Village after you have watched the game’s end credits. You will also be able to claim a Shaymin Kimono Set inspired by the Mythical Pokémon much earlier, for which you will need to speak to the clothier after you have joined the Galaxy Expedition Team.
Shaymin (Land Forme)
It’s said the blooming of Gracidea flowers confers the power of flight upon this Pokémon and that feelings of gratitude are the message it delivers.
Category: Gratitude Pokémon
Height: 8” (0.2 m)
Weight: 4.6 lbs. (2.1 kg)
With Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the developer has looked to “deliver an experience infused with new action and RPG elements that go beyond the framework established thus far, while honouring the core gameplay of past Pokémon titles.”
As part of the Galaxy Expedition Team, you will set out on an adventure through the Hisui region – the land that eventually came to be known as the Sinnoh region. With the bustling Jubilife Village serving as your base of operations, you will leave the settlement to complete assignments and requests that will challenge you to study areas of the Hisui region.
Your first stop will be one of the base camps that will serve as an outpost for your work, and a place where you can rest during an excursion to let your Pokémon recover their health or craft items using the base camp’s workbench.
As you work towards completing the Hisui region’s first Pokédex, your rank as a member of the Galaxy Team will increase and you will have the chance to meet interesting characters and unique Pokémon that call the region home.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 28th January 2022.
