How To Get Arceus In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl

We have bad news for those wanting to know how to catch Arceus in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. As with the original Nintendo DS games, there is no known legitimate method to get the Legendary Pokémon in the Nintendo Switch exclusives – at least for the time being.

According to mythology, it is believed that Arceus was born before the universe even existed. It is said to have emerged from an egg and shaped all there is in this world. Wherever it came from, the Alpha Pokémon was notoriously hard to obtain through normal methods.

In Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, getting Arceus was bizarrely limited. Nintendo had once released an Arceus in the United States, but, since then, the only method to get one was to use a cheating device – such as an Action Replay – to obtain the Azure Flute which was used to gain access to the Hall of Origin.

We’re sure that it won’t be as tricky this time around, at least. If we were to speculate, it’s likely that Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International have plans to run a crossover distribution event to promote the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and will make the Legendary Pokémon available near their launch in late January 2022. We don’t have long to wait to see whether that actually happens or not…

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
