The Dark and Steel-type Pokémon Bisharp was introduced in Generation V and makes a return in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet with a new evolution. You will be able to discover and catch one in plentiful areas in the Paldea region, and, as you set out to complete the region’s Pokédex, you will want to know how to evolve the Sword Blade Pokémon into Kingambit.
Where To Catch Bisharp
Before you need to know how to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit, you may want to know where to catch Bisharp in the wild. It can spawn in a bamboo grove which is found to the northeast of the Paldea region, as you can see in the screenshot below:
How To Evolve Bisharp Into Kingambit
To evolve Bisharp into Kingambit, you will first need to make sure that the Bisharp that you have caught is carrying Leader’s Crest as a Held Item. If you don’t have one, you will want to look out for a Bisharp that is commanding a small group of several Pawniard as these are the Sword Blade Pokémon that will carry them.
With that box ticked, it is finding these same groups that relates to Bisharp’s evolution method. You will need to use your Bisharp (which has a Leader’s Crest Held Item) to defeat three Bisharp that are also carrying the same Held Item. Once this brief battle for territorial control is completed, level up your Pokémon once again and it should undergo evolution.
Where To Catch Kingambit
If you aren’t necessarily bothered about evolving Bisharp and simply want to add Kingambit’s tome to your Pokédex, you may be looking to catch the Pokémon in the wild. Unfortunately, the Pokédex lists that their habitat is unknown, meaning that the only known route is to evolve Bisharp. Luckily, that won’t be too difficult now that you know what you need to do at least.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
