Weekly Famitsu has revealed that Fire Emblem Warriors will have a History Mode, that will let players re-enact famous scenes plucked from past games in the Fire Emblem series.

RPG Site reports that this mode will see players move characters on a 3D grid map, and, once they are adjacent to an enemy unit, a battle will take place with some special requirements to clear.

The magazine’s article has screenshots that show Grimleal leader Validar from Fire Emblem Awakening as an enemy NPC, as well as Gharnef’s stage from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

Nintendo has recently revealed a Fire Emblem Warriors Limited Edition that will become available in Europe, and a Special Edition that will hit retailers in North America, that will include a three-disc original soundtrack and character art cards.

Fire Emblem Warriors will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS in Japan on September 28th, and on October 20th worldwide.
