As the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 came to a close, it became apparent that Nintendo perhaps weren’t ready to show the console’s user interface just yet.

That changed the next day when, as Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma were preparing to talk about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Treehouse Live with Nintendo Switch, the team let us take a quick look.

That revealed a minimalistic and modern design, with games being displayed as tile icons. Below this we can see menu options for News, the Nintendo eShop, a Screenshot folder, Joy-Con settings, Brightness and Power options. Whether this is the final design is unclear, but the brief look also showed that Nintendo Switch will have an Airplane Mode.

Beyond that, we could also see how long it takes to boot a game from the main menu, as well as how quickly it takes to load a save file in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Nintendo Switch will release worldwide on Friday 3rd March, priced at £279.99 ($299.99).
