Perfectly Paranormal has confirmed a release date for Helheim Hassle on Nintendo Switch.

“We are so excited to finally be able to reveal the release date for Helheim Hassle,” enthuses Perfectly Paranormal project leader Ozan.

“This has been a very odd year for us and the rest of the world, but hey I guess oddness is our speciality! We hope our wacky game with its body desecrating mechanics and crazy characters brings some light-hearted fun to players on August 18th.”

This body-puzzle platformer is set in the same universe as Manual Samuel, and promises to deliver a macabre adventure “that is as much about friendship as it is about body parts.”

You play as Bjørn, a pacifist Viking who hates the idea of dying and going to Valhalla, but then ends up dying and getting taken to Valhalla.

Resurrected to help the mysterious Pesto with a task, Bjørn recognises his chance to negotiate his way out. Retrieve a certain magical item and Pesto will reward Bjørn with permanent residence in Helheim.

With the ability to detach and combine his limbs at will, Bjørn must use his undying corpse to solve challenging puzzles and navigate tricky levels in order to succeed.

Helheim Hassle will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 18th August 2020.
