SEGA has released a new Team Sonic Racing trailer in time for E3 2018, presenting you with a sneak peek at the speedways, race cars and fan-favourite characters coming to the multiplayer racing experience.

It’s also your first chance to hear Crush 40 perform the theme song that has been written for the racing game that, from Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed developer Sumo Digital, has looked to combine arcade and fast-paced competitive style racing against friends.

With 15 playable characters from the Sonic universe to choose between that are split into three character classes – Speed, Technique and Power – you can compete in online multiplayer with up to 12 players or local co-op modes with up to four.

That’s across modes such as Grand Prix Mode, Exhibition Mode, Time-Trial and Team Adventure Mode where you must race as a team to win, using team moves like Item Transfer, Slingshot and Skim Boost to help out your teammates, knock out opponents and to have the chance to unleash your Team Ultimate.

Team Sonic Racing will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Winter 2018.
