Natsume have announced ahead of E3 2014 that Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley will launch later this year.

The 3DS exclusive will apparently allow players to experience the farm simulation “in a three-dimensional setting for the first time,” although surely Harvest Moon: A New Beginning offered that? In any case, this new iteration will have a fully customisable world that will allow you to customise your field in any way that you see fit whether that be filled with tulips like Holland or with masses of water like Venice.

“Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is truly evolving the franchise. Hardcore fans will love it, players who haven’t played a Harvest Moon game in a while will want to try it out, and new players will be introduced to the unique and charming world that is Harvest Moon,” comments Natsume president and CEO Hiro Maekawa. “But the incredibly exciting thing that really elevates the game is that while it does get back to what everyone loves about the early games, it also innovates in a way that no Harvest Moon game ever has.”

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley will launch exclusively on 3DS across North America later this year.
