Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game, letting players harness the power of Spinjitzu as seen in the big-screen animated adventure.

Battling their way through waves of enemies with honour and skill, players can play as Lloyd, Nya, Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane and Master Wu as they defend Ninjago from the evil Lord Garmadon and his Shark Army. In order to do so, they must master the art of Ninjagility that will allow them to traverse Ninjago by wall-running, high-jumping and battling the foes of Ninjago to rank up and upgrade the ninja’s combat skills.

With eight large, action-packed locations based on the story of The LEGO Ninjago Movie, each with its own Challenge Dojo that will let players put their combat skills to the test. Whereas Battle Maps will let players challenge friends and family in competitive split-screen local multiplayer for up to four players.

“The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game brings the non-stop action and thrilling combat of the film into the living room so kids can embark on their own Ninjago adventures,” enthused TT Games managing director Tom Stone. “Enhanced movements will help players traverse Ninjago with the fluidity and grace of a secret ninja warrior and improve their combat skills.”

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game will release for Nintendo Switch across North America on September 22nd, and in Europe on October 7th.
