Perfectly timed to arrive alongside Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, it has been announced that you can blast fan arrangement album Harmony of Heroes into your eardrums from October 4th.
We’ve already been treated to a first and second preview, the album celebrating the music that has accompanied the mascot brawler over the years. But boasting 101 tracks, it’ll take you more than seven and a half hours to listen all the way through. The DK Rap track, “Kong Kollektive” by Sebastian Mårtensson, even stars a recorded cameo from the original composer Grant Kirkhope.
Celebrating its release, a listening party will be hosted by Arecibo Radio on the 4th October 2014 at 22:00 UTC for anyone wanting to tune in. A selection of tracks from the album will be played, with guest appearances from the musicians that arranged them.
It’s been a long journey since the project was announced eighteen months ago, and it will be available entirely free in MP3 and M4A (Lossless) formats. A BRSTM release is also being considered for Project M users.
