After four albums packed with fan arrangements, Harmony of a Champion has been announce as the next project from the talent that brought us Harmony of a Hunter and Harmony of Heroes.

Conceived to mark next year’s 20th anniversary celebrations for Pokémon Red and Green, the non-profit album will comprise of metal, electronic and orchestral arrangements that will take listeners on a story-driven musical journey.

That will tell the tale of 10-year old Red, as he leaves the comforts of Pallet Town to train to become a Pokémon Champion and, ultimately, the most powerful Pokémon trainer in the Kanto region. Sound design will deliver on such narrative, with chiptune and sound effects from the original games recreated using sample libraries to recall all those Game Boy memories.

Artwork inspired by the Kanto region has also been penned to support the music, with colour and character as the core themes. That matches the game’s inspiration, with each painting using a palette of two main colours that relate to the region’s cities.

Shinesparkers has announced that Harmony of a Champion will be dedicated to late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, and will launch in the first half of 2016.
