The Pokémon Company has revealed the Festival Plaza in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, an area where players can meet and mingle with other Trainers.

The Festival Plaza is owned by Captain Sophocles and will be where the game’s communications features can be found.

Once there, players will be able to see other Trainers playing near them, or those that are connected online to battle or trade. You can talk to other Trainers and listen to their requests while in Festival Plaza, and, after helping them, you can receive Festival Coins.

These can then be spent at stores such as a dye house where you can re-colour your clothes, bouncy castles for your Pokémon to train in, or a goody shop that sells rare items. As you earn more Festival Coins your Festival Plaza rank will increase, earning more rewards and unlocking new activities in the process.

Eventually, you will also be able to host missions, where multiple players can try to complete a certain goal together. These can be attempted with other players that you connect with locally or online, and you can also expect global missions to be held.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in North America, Australia and New Zealand on November 18th, and in Europe on November 23rd.
