Modus Games and Crackshell have announced that Hammerwatch II will release on Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
The sequel to the million-selling hack ‘n’ slash action-adventure game invites you to once again gather your heroes and set out on “an incredible journey beyond the dungeons of Castle Hammerwatch.”
After Blight the Horrible and his dragon army succeed in overthrowing King Roland and unleashing destruction upon the Kingdom of Herian, hope lies hidden deep within its sewer system. Under the King’s orders, a resistance movement holds strong and has seen mighty heroes entrusted with defeating Blight’s dragons in an effort to restore the kingdom.
Whether adventuring solo or gathering up to four players as a party in online co-op multiplayer, you will need to tackle “diverse and epic” quests in the game’s dynamic world. That will see you build a custom Herian Hero and choose from five character classes – Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard and Warlock – before journeying through Hammer Island, the Fallowfields and the dark mountainous regions of Blackbarrow.
Hammerwatch II will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Summer 2023.
