HAL Laboratory has announced that they have opened a new brand and mobile division called HAL Egg, as they look to tap into the smartphone market.
The developer is well-known for their extensive work on the Kirby series, Super Smash Bros. series, Adventures of Lolo series, EarthBound, and, most recently, the BOXBOY! series, but under this brand they will develop games that star new characters and are different from what many have come to expect from HAL Laboratory’s output.
It won’t be long until we see what they have been working on, with the first HAL Egg game to see release on smartphone devices in autumn 2017.
