Available to purchase exclusively from the Bandai Namco Entertainment Store “while supplies last,” this includes a physical copy of the game, an official soundtrack CD and a 192-page manga and art concept book.
The futuristic Japanese role-playing game compilation was previously released for PlayStation 4 and PC back in November 2017, but despite developer CyberConnect2 pitching the idea of porting the collection to Nintendo Switch to Bandai Namco Entertainment “several times,” the publisher had been concerned about costs and sales projections. That situation has now changed.
The collection includes the three original games – Rebirth, Reminisce and Redemption – while introducing a fourth and final story called Reconnection, which have been “fully restored and remastered” for the portable home console to celebrate the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
.hack//G.U. Last Recode will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch across Asia on 10th March 2022, and across North America and Europe on 11th March 2022.
