Nintendo has seemingly hidden away an unused Great Fairy Outfit in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes.
In probing the Nintendo 3DS exclusive, Pedalpowerluigi uncovered the outfit which sees Link’s character model wear antenna and a large pair of wings. It also notably sees his face more closely match his appearance in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, which has since changed to reflect Toon Link.
“Looking at Link’s face suggests that this was probably an in-progress model from when A Link Between Worlds Link was made into the Toon Link art style for Tri Force Heroes,” they write about their discovery.
“The outfit also has an unused icon which looks similar to Queen of Hearts. I tried getting it to show up, but no results so far… Whether the icon is just a placeholder or maybe what this outfit originally did is anyone’s guess.”
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is now available exclusively for Nintendo 3DS worldwide.
