Microids has confirmed a release date for Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands on Nintendo Switch, and that the game will receive a physical version.
Joining its Microids Indie publishing label, developer Toppluva‘s open-world skiing and snowboarding game was originally released on mobile back in 2019 and, with more than eight million downloads since then, it now comes to the portable home console.
Presenting the chance to explore snowy mountains filled with hundreds of challenges to discover and compete in, the game has been “expanded, reworked and improved” with this new version to have “significantly enhanced graphics, local multiplayer, new mountains and much more.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s features as below:
- An ode to exploration: Strap on your skis or board and explore 12 huge open-world ski resorts. Discover powdery backcountry areas, deep forests with wildlife, busy slopes, steep cliffs, high peaks and cozy mountain-side villages.
- Numerous challenges await you in the mountains: Compete in Super G, Slopestyle, Big Air, and many other disciplines. Search for hidden challenges and secret trials outside the slopes. Collect ski passes to unlock new ski lifts and mountains!
- Ski alone or with friends: Play in Local Multiplayer for up to 4 players. Race to the finish line, knock down each other with snowballs or cruise down the mountains together. Feel free to explore the mountain together.
- Take a break with Zen Mode: Zen Mode is all about having a quiet and regenerating time for yourself. All challenges, trials, collectibles and even NPC are removed, leaving you entire untouched mountains to explore just by yourself. Grab a hot cocoa and enjoy the snowy mountains at your own pace!

It’s sure to appeal to a very wide audience,” explains Microids CEO Stéphane Longeard. “It was only natural to make a retail edition for this game, which will include exclusive winter goodies.”
Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 10th March 2022. The physical version will release at retail in Europe on 10th March and across North America on 22nd March 2022, and will include a copy of the game, a unique logo badge, snowy stickers and two winter postcards.
