Google Maps Pokémon Challenge sees you hunt through the streets

Google choose you! The technological powerhouse having today announced a rather unique challenge for Pokémon fans worldwide through their Google Maps application.

This has seen them scatter wild Pokémon across the globe, wandering streets, hiding in forests, and secluding themselves atop the highest mountains. Players will capture those they find on their way to become a Pokémon Master, witnessing the creatures across land, air and sea, with the victor eventually securing a job at Google later this year.

Whilst the job itself is most likely an early April Fools’, the game itself isn’t. To get involved, grab a nearby Poké Ball and download the newest version of Google Maps on either iPhone or Android. Tap search bar, “press start” and your quest will begin!
