Golf joins Wii Sports Club roster

Expanding upon Tennis and Bowling, players can now prepare to tee off as Golf joins the available sports in Wii Sports Club.

The Wii U upgrade promises a more realistic experience than that found within the original Wii Sports, players able to review course terrain and wind direction information before swinging for their shot. This is performed by swinging the Wii Remote Plus to smack the ball, which is displayed on the Wii U GamePad at your feet – the idea of which you’ll remember from the Wii U reveal at E3 2011.

Players will be able to play on a nine-hole course based on the Famicom’s Golf US Course, as well as the existing nine-hole course from Wii Sports, with online multiplayer functionality and releases with a 24-hour free trial so all players can try the game, as well as Tennis and Bowling, before purchasing.

Wii Sports Club Golf is now available for Wii U through the Nintendo eShop.
