GoldenEye 007’s Facility Stage Recreated In Unreal Engine 4

Still revered to this day as a landmark classic on Nintendo 64, GoldenEye 007 has been revisited in numerous ways over the years. Teens React saw how today’s teenagers would compete in Rare’s seminal classic, it was once reimagined in a real-life remake, and Jimmy Fallon even challenged Pierce Brosnan to a multiplayer match.

Continuing a recent trend that has emerged, Jude Wilson has recreated the fan-favourite Facility multiplayer map in Unreal Engine 4. It provides an intricately detailed representation as to how GoldenEye 007 would appear on current-gen consoles, but also another reminder as to how far the industry has come in the 19 years since the first-person shooter first saw release.

Other fan recreations recently seen in Unreal Engine 4 have seen Kakariko Village in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and portly Italian plumber Mario appear in the modern engine.
