Roller Coaster Productions has started work on a documentary about the legendary GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo 64 and has launched an Indiegogo campaign to help fund it.
The documentary will explore how a young and inexperienced team at Rare were able to overcome challenges to create what has remained to be one of the most influential console shooters.
“In 2017 our team began work on a documentary about the game GoldenEye 007 for N64. A game that changed the way we play video games,” Roller Coaster Productions write. “We have interviewed GoldenEye developers, as well as many industry experts from IGN, Kotaku, GameSpot and Good Game.
“What we found was a story that’s even more fascinating than we hoped. Which is why we’re asking for your help to take the project to the next level and capture many more stories and create the documentary this game deserves.”
They are looking to secure $85,000 within the next month to help fund the project, with pledge tiers ranging from $5 right up to a whopping $25,000 – a tier that has been directed at anyone that is interested in brand sponsorship.
Tier rewards include a laser engraved USB stick, a GoldenEra t-shirt, bungee experiences and even a replica GoldenEye watch that will let you monitor your health, access gadgets and distract any nearby enemies.
