Ubisoft has revealed that Gods and Monsters will release for Nintendo Switch, an action-adventure game from Ubisoft Quebec – the team behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
In Gods and Monsters, you play as Fenyx – a forgotten hero on a quest to restore power to the Greek gods after it was stolen by Typhon, the deadliest creature in Greek mythology.
This will see you explore the Isle of the Blessed, where you must prove your heroism as you take on dangerous mythological creatures such as Gorgons, Harpies, and Cyclopes.
Fenyx has been gifted with special powers from the gods of Olympus, which you must use to overcome treacherous dungeons, challenging trials, and perform heroic feats on your quest to save the gods.
The developer has described the game as “a storybook adventure at heart,” leaving you to freely explore the colorful open world – whether that be roaming freely on the ground or gliding high in the air.
“Over the last 10 years, I have had the chance to be part of an incredible team that has pushed the limits of Assassin’s Creed to explore historical periods from a unique angle. But our imagination has always been bound to the reality of the history books,” explains Ubisoft Quebec senior producer Marc-Alexis Côté.
“Through our work on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey these past four years, our minds have lingered on another aspect of our history – mythology. Today, with Gods & Monsters, the tales we all love and know so well become a reality to be explored like never before.”
Gods and Monsters will release for Nintendo Switch on 25th February 2020.
