505 Games and All In! Games have confirmed that Ghostrunner has suffered a delay and will no longer release on Nintendo Switch this week.

“The Nintendo Switch version faces a slight delay into November, as the Ghostrunner teams want all players to have the best possible experience with the game,” the publisher explained. “The final date will be announced in the coming days, so please stay tuned for more information.”

This hardcore first-person platformer-slasher promises “fast-paced, violent combat and an original setting that blends science fiction with post-apocalyptic themes.”

In a world that has already ended and whose inhabitants fight to survive, you must climb Dharma Tower to confront the tyrannical Keymaster and exact your revenge.

You are the most advanced blade fighter that has ever been created. Outnumbered but never outclassed, you must slice your enemies with your monomolecular katana, rely on your superhuman reflexes to dodge incoming bullets and use other specialised techniques to succeed in your mission.

Ghostrunner will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in November 2020.
