Eastasiasoft and Renegade Sector Games have revealed that Breakneck City will release on Nintendo Switch this week.

After a gang tries to burn down their favourite video shop, Sidney Flintlock and Justine Jacobs set out to bust some heads.

This old-school 3D beat ’em up game places its focus “on environmental interactions,” hoping to bring late ’90s-style brawler action “to a new generation.”

With support for local co-op play for two players, you will be challenged to punch, kick and dodge your way through six levels that include the city’s streets, a dance club and skyscrapers.

Faced with gangs of enemies and tough bosses, you can pick up weapons to become more effective in combat or use the environment to your advantage. Whether you’re swinging on lamp posts, kicking enemies into garbage bins or out of windows, using your surroundings will help you topple more challenging foes.

Breakneck City will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on Wednesday 5th January 2022.
