Stray Fawn Studio has announced that their genetic survival game Niche is now available on Nintendo Switch.
The experience has a breeding system based on real genetics, and promises players “a fresh blend of turn-based strategy and simulation combined with rogue-like elements.”
You will be introduced to the scientific mechanics of genetics, as well as the five pillars of population genetics: genetic drift, genetic flow, mutation, natural selection and sexual selection.
This will allow you to shape your own species of animal-like creatures using more than 100 genes, to then be challenged to keep them alive against all odds – whether that be from the threat of hungry predators, climate change or spreading sickness.
Niche is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide priced at £16.19 ($19.99).
