In July 2015, the games industry was shocked by the untimely passing of late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata.
Many tributes have been paid to the company’s inspirational leader, whether that be at The Game Awards 2015, the 2016 DICE Awards, or by colleagues. And now, an animation shared at the Game Developer’s Choice Awards this week has paid tribute to Iwata’s legacy.
That looks to highlight all the hardware and software projects that he had a hand in bringing to fruition, whether that be nintendogs or Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training, to Wii and Nintendo DS.
It was animated by David Hellman and Raber Umphenour, with Shawne Benson penning the accompanying music and Chris Kohler assisting as a story consultant.
