GameTrailers name The Legend of Zelda Wii U as 2015’s Most Anticipated Game

GameTrailers have selected their Top Ten Most Anticipated Games of 2015, with The Legend of Zelda Wii U taking the top spot for sending them “into a frenzy of anticipation”.

Nintendo beat out competition from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Xenoblade Chronicles X, No Man’s Sky, Overwatch, Batman: Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Persona 5, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Bloodborne, with Link’s latest adventure eclipsing all.

“We still know so little about the next Zelda game, but even the hint at this new entry in the legendary series sends us into a frenzy of anticipation,” they explained of their choice. “It’s particularly exciting to see not only a generational leap forward into HD, but a design philosophy that both reinvents what a Zelda game can be while simultaneously bringing it back to its roots.

“This is a Zelda game that invites you to explore more freely than ever before, take off across the hills and find whatever wonders might meet you there. And your horse won’t run into trees. That’s just not what horses do.”
