Today will see GameStop run their Pro Day for Power-Up Rewards members, an annual one-day event when customers can secure exclusive discounts on upcoming products, see prices whittled down on pre-owned games and accessories, and receive 10 percent more credit on anything that they trade in.
With interest swirling around Nintendo Switch as it nears launch, the specialist retailer has looked to capitalise on that with a unique opportunity for Pro Day.
Those that wander into their local store may discover that they will have the chance to pre-order the console for delivery on launch day, with 1,000 waiting to be claimed.
“GameStop guests can now come into their local store for the chance to pre-order one of 1,000 Nintendo Switch consoles,” the retailer outlines. “There will be 1,000 lucky guests nationwide who will be selected at random to pre-order a Nintendo Switch console. ALL GameStop guests will be offered the opportunity to be selected at random and not just Power-Up Rewards members.”
Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on Friday 3rd March, priced at £279.99 ($299.99).
