GameStop has confirmed that it will hold midnight launch events for Nintendo Switch 2 in the United States, at which it will have additional consoles “available in-store and online.”
“Didn’t pre-order? Additional Switch 2 units will be available in-store and online at launch while supplies last,” the retailer confirmed.
“Launch event begins in-store at 3pm local time on June 4th. Switch 2 pickups start at 12am EST / 9pm PST. Get 40% extra trade credit on ANY video games traded towards Nintendo Switch 2 games or accessories until May 31.
“Come on down, hang out, and don’t forget to transfer your saved data from your Switch before the biggest night in gaming begins!”
At select GameStop stores, you can also receive a free Red Bull energy drink, which are limited to one per customer while supplies last. You can head to the GameStop website to find our where your nearest store is.
Nintendo Switch 2 will be released at retailers around the world on 5 June 2025, priced at £395.99 in the United Kingdom, €469.99 across Europe, and $449.99 in the United States.
