The Nintendo GameCube: Nintendo Classics app has been revealed as a major addition for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers to enjoy alongside Nintendo Switch 2’s launch.
Promising access to a “growing collection” of GameCube greats, three games will be available upon release in F-Zero GX, Soul Calibur II and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
Further additions that will come in the future are Chibi-Robo!, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Luigi’s Mansion, Mario Smash Football, Pokémon Colosseum, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and Super Mario Sunshine.
Every game added to the app will have a “clearer image quality and higher resolution than the original releases” and will be compatible with a dedicated wireless controller designed after the original GameCube controller. This will be made available for purchase to paid Nintendo Switch Online members.
